Contest Details

3D Freestyle Contest Each Pilot will be given 2 minutes to fly their routine. All music must be provided to event staff by the contestant as early as possible. Plaque’s will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, with a prize for 1st. Only 20 entrants, register now!
Please send music files to Leonard Gaither, in wma or mp3 format if possible. This will save valuable time during the event.

Pilots Choice Scale will be judged by all willing event pilots. Entrants will be required to ROG if the original design had gear, fly at least one complete circuit of the flightarea, and then execute a controlled landing. Any entrant unable to complete this task will be disqualified. All models must be a kit or scratch build. No ARF’s will be allowed. Molded foam kits will be allowed, but must not be of the pre-painted variety. Plaque’s will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, with a prize for 1st.

Pylon Race will be ran on a 75 foot, 2 pylon course. 10 laps Models are restricted to IPS-A Drive power and 7.2 volt battery (6 cell nicad/nimh, 2s lipo). Models must have conventional airframe, ie: wing, tail, and fuse. Marshalls will be used at each turn, and at the Start/Finish line. Plaque’s will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, with a prize for 1st.

Old-Timer Demonstration and display is open to all pilots. All models must be non scale types, and dated 1950 or earlier. Model owners will be required to provide a detailed history of the model, ie: designer’s name, design date, contest’s won, etc. This event is not a contest.
